Israel recalls ambassadors to Ireland, Norway over Palestine

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has ordered the recall for consultations of the Jewish state's ambassadors to Ireland and Norway - countries that recognise the independence of the Palestinian state.

The foreign minister regarded such recognition as an attempt to undermine Israeli sovereignty and strike a blow to the security of the Jewish state, AzVision.az reports citing foreign media.

"Thus Ireland and Norway proclaim: terror justifies itself," he said.

If Spain decides to recognise a Palestinian state, Tel Aviv would take a similar step and withdraw the Israeli ambassador in Madrid, Katz warned.
